Matthew Brownlee—a fifth-generation native of Laurens County, has deep roots in his community. Born and raised in Hickory Tavern, he is a proud member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. Growing up in an agricultural family, Matthew is actively involved in the Farm Bureau, Farmer and Agribusiness Association, FFA, 4-H, and Soil & Water Conservation. Elected to the Rabon Creek Watershed District in 2022, Matthew is committed to preserving Laurens County's heritage.
With a passion for helping others, Matthew aims to serve as your next County Councilman, dedicated to the well-being and prosperity of Laurens.
